A. GENERAL TERMS

  1. Introduction

1.1. The website skos.shop is an online store for displaying and providing products and services via the Internet. It has been created by the sole proprietorship under the name “EFTHYMIA L. SKONDRA” and the trade name “SKOS”, based in Livadeia, Viotia (Stratigou Ioannou 59, Postal Code 32131, Greece), with General Commercial Registry No. 170242417000, VAT No. 105912668, Tax Office of Livadeia, tel. +30 22610-28047, and email address skos.co@hotmail.com (hereinafter “the Business”).

1.2. The use of the online store and the completion of purchases through it are governed by the following terms and conditions. Before entering and using the online store skos.shop, carefully read and ensure that you fully understand and agree with its terms and conditions, as every user entering and using the products and services of the online store skos.shop is deemed to consent to and explicitly and unreservedly accept its terms of use, without being able to claim ignorance thereof. If any user disagrees with these terms, they must refrain from further use of the online store and from any transaction through it.

1.3. If the use of any service of the online store is governed by more specific terms of use, such special terms shall apply additionally to these General Terms of Use. In case of conflict between the General Terms of Use and the specific terms of individual services, the specific terms of each service shall prevail.

1.4. The Business may temporarily or permanently discontinue the operation of the online store for any reason and at any time. It also reserves the right to unilaterally modify, at any time, the content of the online store skos.shop as well as these terms of use, informing users through this website. The use of the online store after the posting of revised terms constitutes binding acceptance of them. Any modification does not affect orders already placed and pending execution.

1.5. The online store of the Business is available in Greece. All contracts concluded through the online store are executed in the Greek language, which you declare you understand (written and oral communication).

1.6. The use of the online store is prohibited for minors or persons lacking legal capacity. By entering the online store, you declare that you are an adult and legally competent, and you agree not to allow minors or persons lacking capacity to use your details or login credentials. If such unauthorized use occurs, you are solely responsible. For this reason, please observe basic online transaction safety rules.

1.7. To use the online store, the user must follow the registration instructions on the Business’s website, skos.shop, providing the information requested in each field marked “Register” or similar. The user must update their information as needed and is responsible for the accuracy of the data for as long as they remain registered.

1.8. All transactions conducted through the online store skos.shop are governed by Greek and European law regulating electronic commerce and by consumer protection legislation (Law 2251/1994, as currently in force), governing distance sales.

1.9. For any dispute arising from or related to the use of the online store skos.shop, exclusive jurisdiction lies with the Courts of Livadeia.

  1. Information and Products Provided

2.1. The Business guarantees the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the information displayed on the online store skos.shop, including the essential features of products and the accuracy of service-related information. Within the bounds of good faith, the Business is not liable for technical or typographical errors that may occur accidentally or due to website interruptions caused by force majeure.

2.2. Given the nature of online transactions, the Business will make all reasonable efforts to update the system promptly in the event of any change and to avoid accidental errors in product listings.   1. Limitation of Liability

3.1. The Business cannot guarantee product availability but will inform users promptly regarding any unavailability.

3.2. The Business is liable only for gross negligence or willful misconduct regarding delayed delivery of ordered products or inaccurate information/services it provides. It bears no liability for civil or criminal claims or damages (including lost profits) caused to visitors or third parties due to the functioning or non-functioning of the online store or unauthorized third-party interventions.

3.3. The Business is not responsible for technical problems users may experience while accessing or using the website due to issues related to their own equipment or software.

3.4. The Business makes every reasonable effort to keep its network operating properly but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the website skos.shop or that it will be free of viruses or similar issues.

3.5. The Business bears no responsibility for acts or omissions of third parties, especially unauthorized interventions. Where the website contains links to third-party websites, skos.shop is not liable for their content or for any damage arising from their use; users access them at their own risk.

3.6. The Business’s liability as seller for defective products or lack of agreed qualities is governed by Law 2251/1994 and the Civil Code.

  1. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1. The website skos.shop is the official online store of the Business. Its content (texts, graphics, photos, images, product data, trademarks, etc.) constitutes intellectual property of the Business or its partners and is protected by applicable laws.

4.2. Any reproduction, distribution, modification, republication, transmission, downloading, translation, or other use of website content without prior written consent of the Business is prohibited.

4.3. All trademarks, logos, brand names, and product identifiers appearing on skos.shop are protected under relevant laws. Their display does not constitute a transfer or license to users.

  1. Hyperlinks

5.1. Any hyperlinks appearing on skos.shop are not under the Business’s control. The Business bears no responsibility for their content or updates.

5.2. The Business is not required to verify the safety or content of third-party sites but may block access to any link it deems inappropriate.

  1. User Obligations and Liability

6.1. Users of the online store skos.shop agree and accept that they will use it lawfully and appropriately, refraining from any illegal, unethical, unfair, or abusive use of the website’s content and services. They shall avoid any acts or omissions that may cause damage or malfunction to the website/online store of the Business, or to the Business itself, or to third parties.

6.2. Specifically, users agree and undertake not to use the online store of the Business for:

(a) sending, publishing, emailing, or transmitting in any way any illegal content that may cause harm to the lawful rights of the Business or third parties, or that violates the confidentiality and privacy of information of any person;

(b) sending, publishing, emailing, or transmitting content that is threatening, racist, offensive, disturbing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, or harmful to minors;

(c) sending, publishing, emailing, or transmitting content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or any other proprietary rights of the Business or third parties;

(d) transmitting software viruses, or any codes, files, or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy, or impede the operation of any computer software or hardware, whether intentionally or unintentionally;

(e) collecting, storing, or otherwise processing personal data of users and visitors of skos.shop.

6.3. Users are solely responsible for their use of skos.shop and the online store of the Business, as well as for any damage caused to themselves or to third parties arising from the use thereof. They shall compensate the Business for any damage incurred due to any breach of these terms.

B. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

The information provided by users of skos.shop is used by the Business to ensure effective communication, order processing, and customer service. The website does not distribute user information to unrelated third parties, except to partners directly involved in order fulfillment.

2.1. skos.shop collects the following types of information:
(1) registration details,
(2) order-processing information,
(3) participation details in competitions,
(4) connection details via other platforms (iOS, Android, Facebook, Google).

2.2. When completing an order form, you will be asked for name, address, postal code, email, phone number, credit card details, and payment method. Additional information may be requested for delivery, invoicing, or quotation purposes.

The Business may contact you regarding:
(i) order delivery,
(ii) verification and identification of the customer,
(iii) collection of gifts from competition draws.

2.3. Order processing requires the collection of personal data. The Business requires its staff and technical partners to comply with this Privacy Statement. No personal data is disclosed to third parties without prior consent unless legally required.

2.4. Personal data is used only for the purposes described and not processed beyond what is necessary. If data is used for a purpose requiring consent, you will be informed beforehand.

2.5. Marketing Communication
The Business may send marketing emails related to its products or online store. You may update your email preferences or unsubscribe at any time. SMS notifications regarding your order status may be sent, with optional opt-out for promotional SMS.

2.6. Legal Obligations and Security

The Business does not knowingly collect personal data of children under 16 without parental consent. Any accidental collection will be deleted immediately.

  1. Transaction Security

The Business implements appropriate security measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Only authorized staff or partners have access where necessary.

  1. Your Legal Rights

Requests are addressed within 30 days.

C. PRODUCT DELIVERY & PAYMENT POLICY

  1. Shipping Costs and Delivery Time (Greece)

1.1. The cost of shipping products ordered through the online store skos.shop is not included in the product price and is borne by the buyer–user of the online store, unless expressly stated otherwise. When placing products in your shopping cart, you can view the available shipping methods and the corresponding shipping costs for each option.
Shipments are carried out via ELTA Courier and BOXNOW.

The shipping cost via ELTA Courier corresponds to a standard charge of €5.50 for orders up to €80. For orders over €80, shipping is free of charge.

The shipping cost via BOXNOW corresponds to a standard charge of €2.00.

All products are shipped to the address you have provided in your order, within 4–10 business days, provided they are immediately available.

Cash on delivery is available only for orders shipped via ELTA Courier and is subject to an additional standard charge of €2.50.

Product shipments are insured in accordance with the prevailing policy and transaction terms of the cooperating courier company.

There is also the option to collect the products you order online from our premises at no additional cost.

1.2. In the event that the product is not immediately available, the order will remain pending and the Business will contact you regarding the expected availability date of the product, the possibility of replacement, or the cancellation of the order, depending on the Business’s capabilities.

1.3. The address provided by the user of the online store must be real, valid, and accurate. The Business bears no responsibility for the non-delivery or delayed delivery of products in cases where the delivery address is incorrect.
In the event of absence from the stated address, or any change to the delivery information originally provided, the user of the online store is responsible for promptly informing the Business so that the shipment can be redirected to the correct address. Otherwise, the user shall bear any additional shipping costs or costs resulting from an unsuccessful delivery attempt.

1.4. The receipt of the package and the buyer’s signature on the courier’s delivery form constitute acceptance of the order by the buyer.

1.5. In the event of a delay in product delivery due to the fault of the courier company, the Business bears no liability.
If further fault on the part of the courier company results in damage or defect to the product, you retain all rights outlined below regarding defective products.

  1. Payment Methods

Credit / Debit Card

All payments may be made using VISA or MASTERCARD cards.

Transactions are processed in real time through Viva’s “Smart Checkout” electronic payment platform. The Business does not store or access card details.

Payments may be made using:
Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Diners, Discover, and Masterpass digital wallet.

Cash on Delivery

Payment is made to the courier upon delivery.

Bank Transfer

Payment may be made by bank deposit. Orders not paid within 3 working days are cancelled. Proof of deposit must be emailed to skos.co@hotmail.com.

D. RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS POLICY

  1. Returns of Products Due to Incorrect Delivery

1.1. In all cases where products are delivered that are different from those sold, in terms of type, or in cases of excessive quantity, the buyer–user of the online store skos.shop shall immediately return the products to the Business, intact and sealed, with their full packaging and the accompanying documents, for inspection and verification of the error.

1.2. In this case, the return shipping costs of the products to the Business as well as the reshipping costs of the correct order to the buyer shall be borne by the Business, provided that the return is carried out using the method recommended by the Business.

  1. Returns of Defective Products

2.1. In the event that the delivered product is found to be defective due to the fault of the Business, the buyer–user of the online store skos.shop is entitled to refuse receipt and to return the defective product immediately to the Business (intact and sealed), together with all accompanying documents and with its full packaging.
If the defect was detected after delivery and the packaging no longer exists, or if the packaging was omitted by the couriers during delivery, the product’s packaging is not required.

2.2. The return of products shall be carried out via courier, and the Business shall bear both the cost of returning the defective products to the Business and the cost of sending the replacement products to the buyer.

2.3. After the products are returned, the Business will inspect the defect and will contact the buyer to inform them of the results of the inspection.

2.4. If the defect is confirmed, the product will be replaced; otherwise, the transaction will be cancelled if replacement is not possible within a reasonable time.
In the event of cancellation, the refund of the initial purchase price shall be made interest-free and by the same payment method used by the buyer for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

  1. Return of Non-Defective Products – Right of Withdrawal Without Cause

3.1. The buyer has the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 calendar days from the delivery (acquisition of physical possession) of the products.

Withdrawal is subject to the following conditions:

  • The withdrawal is without cause and without any charge. If the product has already been delivered, the buyer must return it in the exact condition in which it was received, together with all accompanying documents and with the packaging in excellent condition.
    The return is accepted only if the buyer has paid the return shipping costs.
  • The withdrawal notice shall be sent in writing or electronically, by registered mail to the Business’s address or to the email skos.co@hotmail.com.
    It typically contains the following text:

“To the business under the name ‘EFTHYMIA L. SKONDRA’ and trade name ‘SKOS’, based in Livadeia, Viotia (Livadeia, P.C. 32131, Greece), tel. 2261028047, email skos.co@hotmail.com:

– I hereby notify you that I withdraw from the sales contract regarding the following goods: …………………………..

– Ordered on () and received on ()

– Name of buyer(s)

– Address of buyer(s)

– Signature of buyer(s) (if submitted in physical form)

– Date_________”

  • Following the withdrawal notice, the Business is obliged to refund the amount received within 14 days from the proper return of the products.
    The refund to the buyer shall be made interest-free and using the same method as the original payment, unless otherwise agreed.
  • If the products are returned damaged or incomplete, the Business has the right to seek compensation from the buyer, the amount of which will be determined by the condition of the products. The Business may unilaterally and without further notice offset this claim against the buyer.
  • In any case, the above right of withdrawal does not apply to products that have been unsealed after delivery.

  1. Order Cancellation

If the online order has been completed but the product has not yet been shipped, the buyer may contact the Business and the Business will proceed with the cancellation without cost.
Depending on the volume of the order and the time of cancellation, and provided that the cancellation results in damage to the Business, compensation may be sought from the buyer.
